伴随着中国改革开放，中国艺术品市场20余年来从无到有，迅速崛起，总体市场规模已居世界第二。从全球来看，中国是近十年来增长最快的艺术品市场，2003年到2013年，中国艺术品市场销售额增长了9倍，年均增长率超过 了40%。中国艺术品市场在2011年达到了市场顶峰，成为全球**的艺术品市场。
